Essential responsibilities and duties

1.       ProvideFES expertise and coaching (HSE, Quality, EE, PC&L and Production system)based on 11 lean manufacturing principles to contribute to achieve operationalbusiness.

2.       Accountable withinthe  MOD cost budget  for the construction & achievement of an efficient plant productivity plan, through MOD cost management  & MOD cost improvement 

3.       Pilotand animate the FES & P network within their perimeter as well asparticipating in the Division and BG activities

Job performance evaluation criteria: MOD budget achievement,FES deployment, FES training and coaching effectiveness measured through Group/ BG / Division FES audit score.


The main missions of the role are:


1.       ProvideFES expertise and coaching (HSE, Quality, EE, PC&L and Production system)based on 11 lean manufacturing principles to contribute to achieve operationalbusiness.

•        Assist the Plant Managers in developingthe budget and strategic Plan (SP) for the region (based on benchmarking andgap analysis) plus validating the Plant Improvement Plans (PIP).

•        Define FES&P priorities to achieveplant targets (plant output targets and FES&P input activities).

•        Confirm the relevance of the PIP in theachievement of the budget and SP target (including new

        Programs, new technologies/Digitaltransformation/footprint)

•        Perform shop floor diagnosis and definerecommendations.

•        Ensure that FES Principles areapplied/respected in Programs from design stage (Standard Process Deployment tolayout, work content, cardboard workshop activities, validation of : Equipmentdesign, MIFD, process layout, packaging, etc. in accordance with FESprinciples)

•        Provide, according to needs, FESknowledge and skills to the plant team, in their correct daily use of the FESstandards (through training and coaching activities)

•        Propose FES training plan by function toplants/division according the PIP and the gap to FES skills requirement.

•        Support the Plant Manager for newplants: in FES deployment plan definition, implementation & tracking

•        Be an active change agent supportingsites, by cultivating an FES & Lean Manufacturing mind set.

2.       Accountable withinthe  MOD cost budget  for  the construction & achievement of  an efficient plant productivity plan, throughMOD cost management & MOD cost improvement 

•        MOD Cost Management by plant:

o  Ensure routings and coefficient data management forstandard labor cost accuracy.

o  Contribute to MODbudget construction by validating the analysis the total DL cost breakdownbased on DLE, DLP and the productivity plan.

o  Ensure DLE/DLP tracking process by using the P&L. Contributeto closing the direct labor cost gap, through budget analysis and detailed actionplan.

o  Ensure that Plants create conditions to meet SWadherence (training, rigor and discipline application)

•        MOD cost improvement:

o  Validate and review systematically the PlantProductivity Plans with Plant Managers

o  Contribute and coach on the correct tool selection andeffective implementation. (Such as 5 Hoshin Basics, DLE/DLP levers assessment, linkedto KPIs measuring Labor performance.

3.       Pilotand animate the FES & P network as well as participating in the Divisionand BG activities

•        Liaise with GroupExperts to ensure knowledge of Group Standards and best practices are developed

•        Manage Division/ownperimeter FES network through meetings, trainings, projects, sharing bestpractices,..).

•        Ensure theassessment, training and development of the FES&P network



The ideal candidate will have/be:

Minimum education level:  Masters degree.

Experience:

  • Recommended 5 years of FES (or equivalent) practice at Plant level
  • Recognized experience and ability to improve process KPIs in a plant by using FES principles
  • Proven experience in a management/leadership role in a plant
  • Previous working experience of program environment (PLTL, PMS..) is a plus
  • Network animation, coaching and influencing/persuasion skills
  • Developed communication skills, ability to negotiate mainly internally and often at higher levels
  • Continuous improvement mind-set
  • Ability to master change
  • Full P&L and levers understanding
  • Fluent English language knowledge: written and spoken

•        Problem Diagnosis and analytic skills to understandcontexts and define/support the definition of action plans

•        Customer and Business understanding: ability tounderstand and manage the different customer requirements and work within a matrixenvironment
